LEGAL RECEPTIONIST
UNITED STATES ATTORNEY'S OFFICE DISTRICT OF MAINE SEEKS PART-TIME RECEPTIONIST: Outstanding opportunity to work as a part-time Federal Information Receptionist in a fastpaced, dynamic legal setting. This position is a dedicated job share of approximately 20 hours per week. The job share is part of the Federal Career Internship Program wherein you will be appointed to a 2 year internship with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maine. Upon successful completion of the internship, you may be eligible for permanent placement within the office. As the Office Receptionist, you will provide a variety of receptionist, office automation and clerical support duties. Duties include: receiving telephone calls and visitors to the office, controlling access to the office and insuring that only visitors properly cleared are authorized entry, and responding to inquiries and providing general information regarding office programs. The successful candidates will also receive, review and distribute incoming mail. In addition, the receptionist is responsible for maintaining miscellaneous numerical/alpha files so that correspondence checks can be made for unfamiliar material received and performing supply inventory checks. This position also involves preparing and maintaining time and attendance, travel vouchers and personnel-related documents for review and signature.
Requirements: Applicants must meet all requirements identified in the Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions for GS-304-05 issued by the Office of Personnel Management. All applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-4 level or four years of education above the high school level.
